Tap Dancer

Quick Stream  of Consciousness Poem:  Most of these I get down as my fingers hit the keyboard, then I go back and hand write them, give them life, and see where they go….

Sometimes I let the pain write the poems, She has a soft hand and vicious ear… You can hear her in the silence behind my smile, she wraps her arms around me like the broken promises we folded into paper airplanes, wishes scream louder in the free fall.  Her fingers are tap dancer on keyboard, she avoids the truth like its the only cheese dish at a vegan dinner, but eventually we run out of things to feed ourselves… She and I dance pretty ballerina jewel box dances when the lid is shut, you took the jewels, but you cant take the dance…

Sometimes I let the pain write the poems, She has a soft hand and a vicious ear…

Poem, Stream of Consciousness

Last night I had a dream…

It was about the time I fell into your forever beneath a street light.  It was supernova in the rain, and the drops chased us like stardust. .We ran for cover, jumping puddles like hurdles to infinity… the kiss of rain on window panes as gentle as ear on heartbeat…

I’m still searching for the moment when heartbeats became war drums.. My ears became deaf to the instruments, maybe if I would’ve listened just a little more closely…

My eyes have learned the language of waterfalls..

My fingers stained with poems searching for safety like umbrellas on rainy nights

Poems are not road maps around the hurdles…

My mind grabs memories like puddles grab rain drops…

My hands puddle tear drops into poems…

My poems, stardust caught in street lights…

Dreams fade into sunshine… then we wake up..

Changes

Just like many others, I too am facing a lot of changes in my own life, and how I am choosing to engage my spiritual path.

I’ve really been taking time to take a step back and ask myself what “I” want from this experience, who do “I” want to be… and I am letting go of somethings which in turn is creating space for new things to come into my life.  I am simplifying, streamlining, and allowing myself to be more present in my life.  I’ve worn a lot of labels over the years.  I’ve also carried my own expectations and the ones of those around me.  As I become more present with who I am, and where I am going, everything else is also changing.

So, here is a brief rundown of some of the changes, since I’ve been asked by a few, thought I’d just address them here:

  • The blogtalk channel is on hiatus for a while.  I need some time to figure out what message I want to bring to the audience.   I am hoping to get it back online by December/January.
  • Readings/and Healing: Readings is really now the word for what I do anymore.  I am no longer just sitting and talking for the entire time that a client is with me.  My job is to hold space, to help you connect to YOUR intuition and to take you deeper into your soul journey.  Sessions are more like discourses.  You are an active participant, and all that comes through is coming through the soul/intuitive space.  I reflect back to you what I am hearing you say, we pull back the layers to engage emotion, we look at your complexes, dance with your shadow, and dialogue so that we can create an action plan to move forward.  I always give homework.  I might make recommendations for mantra, yoga, body movement, or hands-on healing to facilitate taking you deeper into your process.   My job is to get you out of the “past/future” paradigm and bring you into the hear and now.  I want you to live a fully embodied experience, and that is the goal of our sessions.  Healing sessions are not going to change as much.  I will be offering Soma Pi and Reiki (in person or distance).   We will use these tools to help you discover your personal power, to engage your personal truth, and to encourage presence in all areas of your life.
  • Yoga:  I am offering one-on-one yoga sessions at Sacred Circle books at at my place in Silver Spring.  I combine QiGong, Vinyasa Flow, and Energy Healing to take you deep into your practice.  At the start of our session we will set an intention, and then work to carry that intention deep into the body.  The power of movement will help you give energy to your intention.  We close each session in a guided meditation focused on anchoring your intention into the body.  You are also welcomed to video/audio record your personalized yoga session so that you can mimic the flow at home.

I feel that I am moving more towards being a teacher/mentor/coach rather than a “psychic”.  I feel that a lot of times in the past clients come in with the expectation that I am going to fix it all for them or give them all the answers.  Informational sessions can be great, but only if you DO something with the information you are receiving.  Taking my practice more towards healing, offering space without expectation is going to be new.  This also keeps me from feeling as if I have to have all the answers or fix everything for everyone.  It lets you be you, and me be me.

I am also focusing more on writing, creating community (dedicating more time to my meetup groups), and have a few big projects that I am going to bring to the table soon…. (so be sure you subscribe).

I’m sure that I’ll be adding to this in the days to come.  This is just a quick update from the world of me.  🙂

You are Loved.  Your are Beautiful.  You are Divine.

Journey into spirit

bibleA lot has been evolving in my life.  Each day brings moments of connection, opportunities to grow, and possibility.  Humanity is in a phase of cleansing.  Our tests are becoming more tangible, and we are being given chances to step into greater moments of grace.

For me, this is a great time to go back to my foundations, my roots, and the earlier moments that I met spirit along the road to here.   Introspection and contemplation are important parts of my spiritual practice.  Taking a look at where I am, finding appreciation and then looking at the doors that are opening up keep me moving.  Intuition comes in and helps me to discern the path, the door, and the experience.   This also causes me to look at the things that I am giving energy to, so that I can see what needs to evolve.

One thing that has been coming up for me over the past few weeks is a focus on my Christian roots.   The Bible in particular has really grabbed my attention and my focus.  I can remember sitting with my Grandmother and hearing the stories she would share from the bible, and it was in those moments that spirit came into presence.  I am going back to this book, and am going to take time to go through it, to read it, to make my own commentary on the text.  I am going to do this with a variety of sacred texts, but for now I am giving my attention to this book.  I know that many have their issues with Christianity and with the Bible in particular, and the beauty of the spiritual experience is that we are all able to take what we need from the spiritual experience and run with it.  I’ll post here some of the encounters I have during this period.  I think it is important to go back to our foundation, to keep it strong, and to grow anew from the nuggets we find buried.  Life has been interesting, and I’ll be posting some of my personal experiences via this blog as well as articles/channeling/and videos.

My personal spiritual practice and what I am offering to clients is also changing and evolving.  I am also planning lots of travel in the coming years, and am putting the manifesting practices to the test in making all of this a reality.

Why Study Demonology?

MWVK7“Why study demonology?” is a question I get asked frequently, so I thought I would take a moment to describe my personal reasons for devoting time and energy to the study of the demonic in their many forms.

And before I begin, here is the disclaimer:

These are my personal views, and I am not here to debate them… and no one persona has all the answers (myself included).

I have personally always had an interest in all sides of spirituality.  When I am told that I should stay as far away from Lucifer as possible because of x,y, or z.. my natural curiosity gets piqued and I want to understand why I am to stay away from this being or entity.  I also want to understand what their purpose is, and why they exist.  If there is a reason for everything, what is their reason/purpose?   Some will immediately jump into long diatribes as to the evil the demonic present, but I do not feel that it is that simple.  We are also seeing an influx in interest due to a growing amount of movies, tv programs, books and this interest generates energy towards the creation of new myths, ideas and gives life to these forms.

The study of demonology is not for everyone.  One of the cautions with studying this field is that we do on some level open ourselves up to their energy when we venture down the road of study.  As we study them, they study us.  Having appropriate shielding, psychic protection work, and daily cleansing is recommend.  We have to approach this type of study with respect, and my personal goal is not to prove or disprove existence, but to understand why they exist.  Different cultures will describe the purpose of these beings in different ways, seeing the common threads that run through culture/religion/and society help us to paint a much fuller picture of who and what they are.

As an intuitive consultant it is also my job to be able to help people where they are on their path.  Sometimes the roads we are on brings us into contact with the beings and the more I know the more of service I can be to those in need.  I’ve had to perform exorcism, banishment/clearing

rituals, cleansing, and blessings for clients.  Understanding the layers of the spiritual onion that we need to move through together help us to see more clearly all the moving pieces.  This helps us to engage in discernment, which in turn helps us to reduce fear in these situations.

There are not many people who would venture into the dark.  It requires a special understanding of self, but also and openness and respect for what you might find along the way.  I’ve seen some pretty terrifying things in my studies, but have also had my perceptions and personal beliefs shifted because of what I have learned on this road.  I am currently working on a book about demonology, and will be doing a series of posts over the next couple of weeks on my personal beliefs, theories, and understanding.

If you have had a demonic or diabolic experience and want to share your story with me feel free to contact me via the contact form below.

If you are currently experiencing a haunting/unexplained paranormal or spiritual situation we can set up a consultation to gain perspective.

Distractions

ModernDistractionsCOMICWe live in a fast paced world.  It seems that the more advanced we become the less time we have.  There are so many things around us constantly calling for our attention, and it can be a bit hard to keep up.

Distractions can come in many forms, and at times we allow our distractions to become limitation.  When we give energy to one thing, we are choosing not to give energy to something else.

How much time do you spend on facebook a day?  Do you spend an equal amount of time making actual friends, new connections?  Instead of spending time in Farmville, go out to a farm and actually engage the earth.

Identifying our distractions can be easy, changing the patterns that keep us bound to them can take a bit more work.  If you do not currently keep a journal, I suggest you start one sooner than later.  One way to see where you are surrendering time is to keep a log of how long you spend in meditation, on the computer, working, reading, etc.  Keeping a time log is much like keeping a calorie log.  Until you know where your calories are coming from it is difficult to balance your diet.

One thing that I also encourage is setting spiritual goals.  What is it that you want to create, do, or experience spiritually?  Giving yourself things to work towards allows you the ability to move, but it also allows you to better identify the distractions along the road.  An example of distraction impeding spiritual practice is often seen in mediation.  We decide we want to meditate.  Then we have to go out and buy the meditation books, cushions, just the right meditation music, and all the while we could just start meditating.  Now, I understand it is important to expand knowledge, to get fun tools to assist in our practice, but if the search for “just the right” tools is keeping us from starting our practice, then it becomes a distraction.

Being able to take conscious steps to engage our distractions, moving away from things that are limiting you.  Decide on a place to move towards, and then start moving.

What are your distractions?

What keeps you from showing up to your practice?  What can you do to remove those limitations?

You are loved.  You are Beautiful.  You are Divine
